Slot games are possibly the most famous games to enjoy at casinos. On any night, count on most of the slot machines to be filled with eager gamblers. They come in a good selection of playing levels; a few only cost $.05 a spin while others can cost as much as twenty dollars a play. Although slot machines are a betting tool, many individuals are intimidated by the big money table games and prefer the delight and exhilaration of an excellent one arm bandit.

The 1st mechanical slot machine was created in Eighteen Ninety Five and was dubbed the "Liberty Bell." Invented by a California machinist, the 1st slot games had 3 spinning reels with diamonds, hearts, spades and a cracked Liberty Bell on each. Before this invention, the term "slot machines" was used to characterize several types of vending machines.

The initial across the board use of slot games in US betting houses is attributed to the Flamingo Hotel, Sin City somewhere around 1940. The head of the casino had originally thought the machines would be awesome to intrigue bored wives of a few of the largest high roller customers of the casino. He didn’t know that the slots would be an enjoyable game for almost everyone and that the appeal would extend further than the tired wives. At this time, it is said, the slots comprise over two-thirds of all income generated by U.S. casinos.

Slot machine games certainly have a rich history. From the little invention of the mid-1800’s to the billion dollar business of today, slot machines will continue to grow in popularity.
